Crazy Day

Erik l'ange,

I had a crazy day today!  First off we were allowed to leave school 2 hours early so the classes were all shortened...but once we were heading to "8th" period the power went off.  It stayed off for like 2 hours and we were supposed to have lunch right after it...but we couldn't leave the room because of the power outage.  We were kept there until 12:30 but at about noon the power came back on and the PA system came on and told us to stay there unless we had to pick up cookie dough orders for choir/band and I was one of them.  Andrea, who drives me to school, was going to drive me home since mom's at a funeral today but she parked where the buses were and got blocked in so we had to wait for the buses to leave to go.  Oh oh!!  and this morning some kid's car caught on fire and blew up!  We didn't see it, we just saw the aftermath as we were driving to school...it was in the parking lot too :-P.  Such a dramatic day...I love it when there's some drama in my life.

I saw an article on yahoo news about a threat in Virgina...I read it and it was shocking...and scary.  "Culpeper, about 60 miles southwest of Washington, D.C., is in a mostly rural area that has become a bedroom community for people who work in the Capitol area.  In the past two weeks, three schools in three states have been hit by ly attacks, and several others have faced threats." "...In addition, schools in states including Nebraska, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon and Wisconsin have been closed or locked down in the past week over threats of or guns on campus.  Thursday morning, several Nebraska schools were under lockdown for a second day following an anonymous call that said there would be a at an unspecified school.  On Wednesday, a high school student in Pikesville, Md., fired a pellet gun in a courtyard during lunch, leaving six boys with minor injuries, police said. And in Jonesboro, Ark., where a 1998 school attack killed five people, a middle school was locked down temporarily after a teacher discovered that a student had a Molotov tail in the building."  (It didn't give an author but I didn't write this, and I say this because of plagerism, I don't want to get in trouble.)

I don't know about you...but I'm scared of the world...

Until next time, I bid you goodbye,
